Winter wonderland!

So it is pretty crisp here today -15 Celsius I think.  The hoar frost is very pretty though..

This is about 2 minutes from my home in the city...  looks so peaceful.

I had a photo challenge from a friend & the subject was "up".
We are having pretty dreary weather - the light was very flat, but I wandered around downtown (which was really busy for a Sunday) & took a couple of shots..  pretty boring compared to shooting live subjects!

More Doggies

Well I am really slipping - a photo every day doesn't seem possible...  I'm also doing another photography challenge with some friends, plus life does seem to get in the way.

Here is a photo I took of 2 of my dogs enjoying the sunshine..  We are in Canada, close to the Rocky Mountains but we are having unseasonably warm weather... not that I'm complaining!  Nice to go out with a sweater at the end of January!

Dog Trial Weekend

Such a big doggie weekend!
I competed in a Rally trial on Friday with my little papillon & earned a 95/100 and a big ribbon!
Then we did Agility & Scent Hurdle on Sat & Sunday.  Of course I didn't take any photos of my own dogs, but I did get  couple of shots of some friend's dogs!

TimBits Hockey!

I went to watch my grandson playing in a hockey tournament yesterday.  These are 5 and 6 year olds...  it's fun to watch them be so excited to get out there - even in a couple of weeks they improve so much.  It was actually a tournament in honor of a little boy who had been part of the organization,  who was murdered last year along with his grandparents, very sad story...

Getting a good photo in a hockey rink with dirty glass is a bit of a challenge to say the least!

"Light"

I'm doing a short photography challenge with some friends this week & the theme for yesterday was "light"..  It was a dreary, cold day again so I couldn't get inspired by any nice sunshine shots so I decided to play with a candle...  this is what I came up with..
